• Is the Simple Content Expiry not compatible with WordPress 3.2.1? I added this code on 08/30/2011 setting the content to expire on 09/06/2011, but it is still showing live as ever twodays later. I often have information to post that will not be valid after a short time so I was hoping to find a plugin to expire this invalid content after its expiry date. Help?
    Here is the posted code:

[expire date=”20110906″]For a few days our favorite sleepwear shop is having a closeout on all lightweight summer sleepwear for women. Cool cotton pajamas, baby dolls, one and two piece PJs and nightgowns, everything marked down to (strong style=”color: #cc0000;”)$6.99! (/strong) No minimum purchase and this little clearance is only going on through September 6th – so don’t miss out, (a href=”link”)click here Now for $6.99 Pajamas!(/a)[/expire]

The text is accurate with html altered.

    Hi dominolady,

I don’t really offer support for this plugin as it was a side project, but I’ll take a look.

    Thanks 🙂

    Me again!

The date should be added in the format yyyymmdd. I just wanted to confirm you aren’t using yyyyddmm by mistake?

    Thanks

I can also confirm that the plugin works with WordPress 3.2.1

Thank you Patrick, but the biggest problem I was having with it was that the code was showing up in the post. I’m not still trying to use the plugin now.

The format I used was from the plugin’s own page: [expire date=”yyyymmdd”][/expire] although i see that I entered it with the date reversed here in my question. If this was a side project it should not show up in the plugins search? I visited the page before installing it and there was no mention of it being a side project. After removing the code from my posts a dialogue panel showed in WP that was not there when I tried to use it. Perhaps I needed to log out and then log in again before trying to use it. At any rate it was not working for me so I am not currently using it. I appreciate your response here.
