I know this should be really easy, but I can’t find out how to do it. Basically at the moment I have WordPress set to display Your Latest Posts on the Front Page (Home Page) and it is selected for full text under the Reading Option. However, it shows just a summary of the post on the Home Page with a “Continue Reading” button. I have searched all the WordPress options and the Theme options, but can’t find any other settings I may need to change.

    My website is http://www.howtostoppanicattacks.info

    Kool 🙂

Thanks a lot for the information, but I couldn’t make it work right. I search in all the html code and I didn’t find the <?php the_excerpt(); ?>. Could you explain in more details how I can find this?

P.S.: I’m Brazilian, so sorry for any English mistake.

My site is still under construction, but is http://www.esmaltedasemana.com.br

i also would like to know where i can find where to replace that..

it’s now found under appearance, edit, and look to the right sidebar and find: content.php Look about 20 lines down.

Stuck. Every post I read about “Read More” is too complex to understand for someone who isn’t yet into “coding”.

First question: to get the Read More on my wordpress blog, isn’t there a button or option somewhere in the dashboard or page editor that just does that automatically? Can it actually only be done with “coding”? And if so, what and WHERE?

    Second question:
In just about every question I look up on wordpress forums, the people answering give code that you have to use, but mostly they don’t say WHAT FILE you have to put that code into, or WHERE in the file you have to put it! Which makes it a time-wasting labyrinth for newbies…and at some point we have to work to pay the rent!
