Simple, but poor coding…

  • I really like the simplicity in this plugin. I prefer it better than any other out there. So first I’d like to thank the author for his efforts.

    Unfortunately the coding isn’t good. I was surprised with the “Regarding job” drop down field in the submission form. I mean, what do you need the “regarding job” field when you are already in the job you want to submit to. Makes no sense. And what if you have a lot of job postings? That’s really not gonna work.

    So I decided to take a look into the code to remove that. I noticed then that the developer was actually using the job listing’s name as the unique key for database transfer. That’s not good practice. Retrieving the current job’s “id” is as simple as this: global $post; $post->ID;

    Until some descent working functionality is implemented into this plugin, I wouldn’t recommend it… The author seems that hasn’t thought of adding more functionality. Of course is free. You can make your own opinion by testing it out!
