Support » Plugin: Login-Logout » Simple and Effective

  • I put it at the top of my sidebar and used a negative top margin in my CSS to make it look like it hangs from my heading. The login link open up the default WordPress login form, which I will stylize with PHP code I found elsewhere. (It would be nice if this plugin was expanded to include changing that default form, but I suppose there are other plugins that handle that part.)

When you play with this plugin’s settings, if you leave the “Redirect to this page after login” and “… after logout” boxes blank, the user goes back to the page they were on before they clicked the login or logout link. That’s probably what most people would want, and it’s also what happens if they click on a login link by a comment, so I assume that’s the WordPress default. In some cases you would want to send them elsewhere, and you have that option.

    Handy. Thanks!

That was not default behavior. Redirect back to prev page is made by the Login-Logout plugin.
You are right, that’s probably what most people would want. 🙂

I stand corrected. Going back to the page you were on is another reason to like the plugin!
