 * Its pretty good. Although the ratings banner that shows up in the dashboard is
   very annoying.
 * The request for review still won’t go away. I’m about to delete the plugin just
   to make it go away.

 * Hi,
 * Just to make sure. You are talking about the notification bar asking for rating
   our plugin on WordPress.org. By default, it should be dismissible ! Maybe just
   a bug …
 * But …
 * Yesterday, you started with a 5 star review then you changed it to a 1 star review,
   not because of a bug, not because of a compatibility issue, but because of a
   notification bar that just not want to disappear? That’s very frustrating to
   us.
 * We will try to see what could cause this issue but for the moment, now, we cannot
   access your website remotely to fix it ASAP (as per your request). If ever we
   come to find a bug, we will fix it with next update.
 * A possible way out would be to uninstall Bialty plugin, then reinstall it again…
 * Hope this helps.

 * I didn’t see that, but [@beaversden](https://wordpress.org/support/users/beaversden/)
   plese note: Please don’t offer to send or post logon credentials on these forums:
 * `https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines#the-bad-stuff`
 * You can contact the author on their own site and, once there, the discussion
   is between the two of you. However, it is not OK to enter or send site credentials
   on these forums. We don’t want to encourage others (who are less reputable) to
   do similar things. It’s a fine line, but one that we need to enforce. Thanks
   for your cooperation.

 * Hi [@beaversden](https://wordpress.org/support/users/beaversden/),
 * Please send us an email at [support@bialty.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/simple-411/support@bialty.com?output_format=md)
   so that we can look at this closely.
 * Thanks [@sterndata](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sterndata/) (by the way,
   we did not mean that this user shared site credentials here on WordPress.org,
   but simply that, unless trying to debug website manually, there is nothing we
   could do NOW (we were referring to the promptness of the last message.). We need
   to investigate this issue , etc. as it’s very specific to this website.

 * I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please _never ask for credentials on these
   forums._
 * [https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff](https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff)
 * Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and
   a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some
   ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the
   person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
 * If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable
   for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided
   without warranty.
 * **Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking
   you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.**
 * It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.
 * There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site
   is not one of them. That’s going too far.
    - Ask for a link to the [http://pastebin.com/](http://pastebin.com/) log of
      the user’s web server error log.
    - Ask the user to create and post a link to their `phpinfo();` output.
    - Ask the user to install the [Health Check plugin](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/health-check/)
      and get the data that way.
    - Walk the user through [enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.](https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG#WP_DEBUG_LOG_and_WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY)
    - Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other
      plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
    - Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.
 * You get the idea.
 * Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all
   users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that
   will get you into real trouble in these forums.
