    Hi

You’re not the first to ask, and unfortunately the answer is still the same for the moment : the signature is stored on the server 🙁

I already did a few tests with it as an attachment, and it seamed to work fine. The next step would be to add an option page for the plugin (or hook into CF7’s one, i don’t know if it’s possible …) to chose between the 2 methods.

As i already said, the main issue with adding the signature as attachement is that i’m not able to use it in the email body (CF7 does not allow me to change the mail headers for the moment), which is a major drawback i think.

I commented on the other thread also. For us, it’s worth not having the signature in the body to have the extra security.

I think an option to pick between the two methods will work fine, and keep people happy. 🙂

    Hi,

I finally took the time to work on a new feature allowing you to send signatures as attachments. It takes place in v3.0 of the plugin.

First, add the “attachment” parameter to the signature field you want to attach in your form, like this :
    [signature your-signature-field attachment]

Then add the signature tag to the mail attachment section, like you would do for a file (see this tutorial) : [your-file][your-signature-field]

    And that’s it!
It seams to work fine, but in case you find some bug, just remove the ‘attachment’ parameter for going back to standard behaviour, and let me know.

    Enjoy !
