Support » Themes and Templates » Sight theme sight_meta_box_nonce errors

  • Hi, since the developers of the theme aren’t providing support, I wonder if anyone over here could offer some help?

    A fresh install of Sight 1.0.1 theme on a fresh install of WP 3.1.2 produces these errors when trying to create/edit a page:

    Notice: Undefined index: sight_meta_box_nonce in /home/example/public_html/exampledir/wp-content/themes/sight/functions.php on line 140
    Notice: Undefined index: sight_meta_box_nonce in /home/example/public_html/exampledir/wp-content/themes/sight/functions.php on line 140
    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/example/public_html/exampledir/wp-content/themes/sight/functions.php:140) in /home/example/public_html/exampledir/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 897

    The only changes I made to the standard config file are:

    1. WP_DEBUG set to true
    2. FORCE_SSL_ADMIN set to true
    3. $table_prefix is NOT wp_
    4. DB_COLLATE is utf8_general_ci

    Any help appreciated, thanks!

  • After some more testing, I think I can pretty much verify that the errors are due to $table_prefix not being wp_.

    I’d really like to use something other than the default wp_ to increase security, if anyone know how to modify the theme’s code so that a different table prefix would not mess things up, I’d great appreciate it!

    Thank you!

    Okay, I’m having some really weird test results now. Even on the WP site that uses wp_ as the table prefix, I’m getting the sight_meta_box_nonce errors when I type the word “from” on a page. If I remove that word, the page updates fine without any errors.

    I’ll test more and report back.

    The functions.php has been pasted here:

    well, Im using it at Version 3.1.2 without any problems :S Yesterday I installed fresh copy of wp and sight without any single prb.

    its a strange error you are seeing

    try reinstalling

    may be something required to do with this line..

    // Use nonce for verification
    echo ‘<input type=”hidden” name=”sight_meta_box_nonce” value=”‘, wp_create_nonce(basename(__FILE__)), ‘” />’;
