[Resolved] Sigh- need help with finding wp-content folder

  • I have searched for the answers already, but I am still lost. I went to bluehost and to the wordpress link to see my domains, but I didn’t see wp-content anywhere. I am trying to edit a current theme to my liking, but it warned me with this:

    ‘If you need to make changes to this theme, create a new stylesheet in the wp-content folder then go to the ‘WordPress Admin > Settings > Adventure Journal’ and add your new stylesheet under the ‘Custom Stylesheet’ section. This will prevent your changes from being overwritten when new versions of this theme is released’

    Thanks!

    @numeeja

    connect by ftp & browse the directory WordPress is installed in.

    How does one ‘connect’ to ftp? I thought it was via the cpanel because I saw FTP session control and accounts. Thanks

    The usual way is to install an application on your PC or Mac such as filezilla and use that.

    There may be file explorer utility available on your hosting control panel which can also be used.

    Okay…I think I got that part down. I took your advice and went to the hosting control panel and I opened ‘file manager.’

    My next few questions are: How do I create a new style sheet? Do I just copy the original into my new file then modify that style sheet?

    Also within ‘file manager’, I went to wp-admin as the directions tell me (see original post), but I couldn’t find settings once I clicked on wp-admin to add a new style sheet to the adventure journal.
