# sidebar.php 404 error

 * why is it when I update my sidebar.php via theme editor in wordpress I get a 
   404 error – Not found?
 * Other pages seems to work fine. The sidebar.php is there when I view it in FTP.

 * Suggest you don’t use the theme editor. Sounds trite, but it’s PHP based so prone
   to ‘issues’.
 * Edit offline and re-upload.
