Sidebar widgets won't update, circle keeps spinning

Just installed 3.6 for a really basic blog, and every time I try to remove or change a widget’s position in the sidebar the change won’t save and the update graphic keeps spinning. I’ve tried this in a couple browsers and with several different themes including the default, I’ve also signed in and out of the account several times.

Any advice with this would be very appreciated.
