# sidebar widgets, where?

 * it’s been a while since i used wordpress, and i can’t remember what menu i choose
   to access the sidebar widgets? can you help.
 * also i’m wondering why my links to headponedelas aren’t working??

 * As i dont know which version of WordPress you are using it could be in two places.
 * If you are using _WordPress 2.3_
 * Then Sidebar widget’s come in the core package and are in your Presentation Menu.
   You _will not_ need to download anything to use them. They come preactivated 
   and ready to use. (You’ll find them in the “Widgets” sub-menu in the presentation
   area)
 * If you are using_ WordPress 2.1.3 or Below_ ** \*Upgrade!\*** 😉
 * Then you’ll need to download the [sidebar widgets plugin](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widgets/)
   and install that in “/wp-content/plugins/” and then activate them. After that
   they will be in your presentation menu under “Sidebar widgets”

 * to say that i’m confused at the installation instructions, would be greatly underestimating
   it?
 * what the heck am i supposed to do with this installation? is it cut and paste?
   is it something i just need to click on. i can’t make head or tails of this?

 * you can have bunches of plugins running. Upload them to your [http://www.yourdomain.org/wp-content/plugins](http://www.yourdomain.org/wp-content/plugins)
   dir sometimes you drop a folder in there, other times just the plugin file.
 * As far as widgets you can have a bunch of them as well.
