# sidebar widgets plugin not running

 * Hullo all,
 * i am trying to run wordpress.org and have installed the sidebar widgets plugin.
 * **however, although i have activated it, it does not show up in the presentation
   interface, or on the blog as well.**
 * i started off using the classic template by dave shea, which i then modified (
   css, header, etc).
 * **i also moved the sidebar php to ‘float: right;’ and added some <div> to structure
   the layout.**
 * is this why the widgets are not working, and if so, does anyone know how i can
   get around it?

 * Widgets work only if the theme is prepared to work with them (“widgetized”).

 * the thing is, the template i started off with was supposed to be widgetised –
   i merely changed it’s style and layout in a very minor way, no fooling with the
   php codes. –
    **i have tried it with the default kubrick as well and the interface
   never shows up in admin.**

 * I don’t know which WP version you have installed… but the Classic and Default
   coming with the latest several versions are **not** widgetized. Why do you think
   they were “supposed to be” widgetized?

 * it doesn’t work with my version of kubrick, ten.
