Having upgraded to 2.12 from 2.0?? I find that sidebar widgets are not working and are not available from admin. The plugin is installed and was working. As sidebar widgets is the most useful thing ever I am keen to get it back. They are listed as compatible with 2.12 so I can only think the default (kubrick) theme is the problem.

As I remember, the theme was modified for sidebar widgets.

Where do I go from here please?

Also, did you turn off the plugin before you upgraded?

I lost my identity. This is an alternative. The forum still thinks my original ID is a spammer.

To answer the question, no I did not turn off plugins when upgrading

I just installed the upgraded plugin with no solution.

When you upgraded from WordPress 2.0 to 2.1.2, did you overwrite the theme you were using (default)? If so, the sidebar widget code in that theme was lost. Replace the default theme with the one in the widgets zip file.

Otto42: many, many thanks, a problem solved. I can’t tell you how grateful and relieved I am.
