    Re: http://automattic.com/code/widgets/use/

I downloaded a widgets.zip file which supposedly has the files for doing Sidebar Widgets with a server install of WP.

But all the *.js files (i.e. scriptaculous.js, etc.) files are missing from the zip.

I’ve been googling for an answer but haven’t found one yet.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Brooks

Not sure which download you’re using from that page but wordpress 2.1 includes the javascript files in the wp-include/js/ subdirectory.

Yes, the 2.1+ doesn’t need that all. So that *.js files removed from new version of widget ..IMHO 😀

Yes, I figured this out. The widget help file should be changed to explain the different install for WP 2.0 vs 2.1.

    Thanks,

Actually – it does. The download page specifically points out which files are for 2.0.x and which are for 2.1.x. The readme file clearly states what files will be included in the download, as well. Not a .js file in sight.
