Sidebar Widget Auto Turns on Show Excerpts…

    I’ve been using CRP for some while now and it has been working great.

    However, today I was editing my sidebar widget and now when I update the CRP portion of my sidebar, it automatically turns on show excerpts and show author. Every time I uncheck it and save changes, it turns the excerpts and author back on.

    What is the solution to this?

    This is a known bug, and I have to get this fixed. it’s come in after the 5.8 widget to block implementation in WordPress.

    One workaround is to use the Customizer instead of Appearances > Widget

    Thanks for confirming. I’ll get this fixed in the next version which is a while away as it’s in the pipeline after another plugin that I’m updating first.
