 * The sidebar content drops below the containing box into the background.

 * Which way do you want to stretch the sidebar? down or to the right?
 * Is your issue that some of the side content is in the black background?
 * If you can explain the issue in more detail perhaps we can help you.

 * Yes my issue is that some of the side content is in the black background.
 * So I want to stretch the sidebar down but the footer needs to stretch also when
   I’m doing that.

 * The issue is with the order and structure of your div elements in the css and
   template.
 * The div body is acting as a container to the sidebar, content and footer divs
and all three all squeezing into the ‘body’ container.
 * Add another div as follows:
 * Body – contains ‘newdiv’ (set at 100% wide) and footer
 * Newdiv contains sidebar and content
 * In this way the footer will not be drawn until the ‘newdiv’ container is closed
with /div ie it will be drawn below the sidebar.

 * I tried that but maybe I’m doing something wrong it didn’t work for me.
    I made
   a wiki page on [http://www.area404.nl/wiki/index.php?n=Main.Wordpress](http://www.area404.nl/wiki/index.php?n=Main.Wordpress)
   and [http://www.area404.nl/wiki/index.php?n=Main.CSS](http://www.area404.nl/wiki/index.php?n=Main.CSS)
 * There is an edit button below maybe someone can try to fix this for me. Before
   I will jump from a bridge 😀
 * I will be very thankful
