    Hello guys!

    My web address:

    I just want to put a “dotted 1px #7991AB” right below the text widget “Buscar”, so it is even with the other title widgets. That´s the code, if someone here can do the trick, don´t leave me unanswered please! ;P

  • The easiest way is to insert an empty ul. It should look like this.

    <h2 class="widgettitle">Buscar</h2>

    Can you tell me where should I insert this emply ul? I know very very little yet about CSS coding. Should I insert that on sidebar.php or style.css?

    I´ve pasted the entire sidebar style.css code on the first post but it´s showing to me here only as [Code Moderated], and as I don´t know if you can see the code or just this message, here it goes again (part of it only):

    ul.sidebar_list li.widget { width: 256px; margin: 0 0 2.5em 0; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.4em; float: left; }

    li.widget h2 { font-weight: bold; font-size: 1.1em; letter-spacing: normal; font-variant: small-caps; line-height: 1.8em; padding: 1px; border-top: 1px solid #7991AB;}

    li.widget p { margin: 0 0 1.5em 0; padding: 0 4px; }

    li.widget ul { list-style: none; color: #464646; margin: 0 0 0.5em 0; border-top: dotted 1px #7991AB; }

    li.widget ol { margin: 0 0 0.5em 0; }

    li.widget li { margin: 0; }

    li.widget li a, li.widget li a:visited { padding: 0 0 0.5em 4px; color: #fff; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: none; display: block; }

    li.widget li a:hover { padding: 0 0 0.5em 4px; color: #fff; background: #464646; text-decoration: none; }

    li.widget li a img { border: none; }

    li.widget li .recent_date { padding: 0 4px 0 8px; color: #888; }

    li.widget ul.latestactivity { list-style: none; color: #464646; margin: 0 0 0.5em 0; border-top: dotted 1px #7991AB; }

    li.widget ul.latestactivity li.alternate { display: block; margin: 0; padding: 0 0 0.5em 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px #7991AB; }

    It will be in your sidebar.php. The code should go right beneath this
    <h2 class="widgettitle">Buscar</h2>
    Which will make it look like this.

    <h2 class="widgettitle">Buscar</h2>

    Jeremyclark13, either I did something wrong or I missed giving you some essential info as it didn´t work out here… Take a look at what I´ve done in the sidebar.php, the only thing I changed is in bold letters, right?

    <div id=”sidebar”>
    <ul class=”sidebar_list”>
    <?php if (!function_exists(‘dynamic_sidebar’) || !dynamic_sidebar()) : ?>

    <?php if (function_exists(‘get_flickrrss’)) { ?>
    <li class=”widget-special”>
    <h2>Flick<span class=”flickr_pink”>r</span></h2>
    <ul class=”flickr_stream”>
    <?php get_flickrrss(); ?>

    <?php } ?>

    <li class=”widget”>
    <h2 class=”widgettitle”>Buscar</h2>

      <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/searchform.php’); ?>

      <li class=”widget”>
      <h2>Recent Entries</h2>

      Another thing that concerns me is that the “dotted 1px #7991AB” that appears in the style css. is always shown as “border-top” and not as “border-bottom”, so even not knowing a thing about CSS I assume that´s only for widgets with categories, as this dotted line makes for a border-top of them… Does that sound right for you?

      (In case other people started here reading this topic, I want to put a “dotted 1px #7991AB” right beneath the text widget “Buscar” in

      I got it! I found the lines that should be altered in the style css.. Thanks so much for the help anyway!
