[Resolved] Sidebar still showing up

  • Hey! I’m new to wordpress development but I’m digging my way trought it.

    Now I have a pretty odd problem. I removed the get_sidebar() function from the index page but the sidebar is still showing up with the default widgets in it even though i removed them also from the primary widget area.

    index.php source:

    <?php get_header(); ?>
    <?php get_template_part( 'loop', 'index' );	?>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    files in the theme folder:

    • functions.php
    • header.php
    • index.php
    • loop.php
    • footer.php
    • style.css

    Try checking the other template files – header.php, loop.php, footer.php etc.

    :))) Great tip! Seems like I’m a little bit too tired at this hour. Yes it was another sidebar initiated in the footer showing up even though it was empty.

    Thank you! Topis resolved.
