Sidebar showing below content in TwentyEleven

  • ben1000

    @ben1000

    My sidebar is showing below the main content in Twentyeleven.

    Can be seen across the site. I have played around with the sizes (which caused this problem) because I wanted greater width in the sidebar.

    The site is: webzites.co.uk/testone/
    Any advice is appreciated!

    Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.

    Create a child theme for your customisations. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

    Reduce the width of your main content area and add a decent right margin. Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of work.

    I’ve been doing that. Its very strange. Ive had the content down to 10% with a 10% margin and the sidebar still falls below.

    Only when its at the defaults does it work…

    I encounter this issue only in search results page (I have Relevanssi installed). Occurs in IE 8 and IE 9. I’ve tried every CSS fix I can think of but haven’t found any safe method yet.
