hello all –
so my blog is http://www.iluvhaight.com and i am using the sight template. the issues that i am running into are this: i widened the wrapper b/c i felt that the blog was too thin, but now my side bar is sooooo screwed up. i thought i fixed it but then it just gets all janky when i add other widgets. i know it has something to do w widening my blog but i need to fix it cause now i am frustrated. any help would be apprciated!
abbywilcox – looks more like you have a dynamic/widget area below content area and above the footer area that’s not styled.
From what I can see you have unopened </div> on line 156.
This is the last div after the credits:
<p class="credits">Designed by <a href="http://wpshower.com">WPSHOWER</a></p> </div> </div>
This could be extra div, or <div> that was deleted somewhere above.
hello- thanks for the help. @emil – i tried adding a </div> into the footer but it did nothing. @mercime – if there is a dynamic widget area in the footer i am not sure how it got there b/c it is not in my widget area of wordpress. the only areas are on top next to the logo and a right side widget area. i have tried several times to reinstall the theme but it just keeps doing this. i have emailed wpshower to see if they can help at all but havent gotten a response. i really like this template and want to stick w it but am getting really frustrated. i am not a total expert at this stuff – but i can hold my own and usually figure stuff out by googling my problems. but i am just at a stopping point w this.
any other suggestions would be wonderful.
If you didn’t have a footer widget area then the sidebar div was not closed properly. In any case, moving forward:
– Change to twentyten theme.
– Clear browser cache.
– Backup a copy of your sight theme from server to your computer hard drive.
– Delete the sight theme in server.
– Download a new copy of sight theme from wpshower.
– Unzip and upload new sight theme folder in wp-content/themes/.
– Activate sight theme.
