Sidebar problem

I’m relatively new to wordpress. I’ve added a widget to my sidebar but it also seems to be appearing over my post?

I’m not sure how to fix it and was hoping someone could tell me how to remove the widget where its displaying over my post as seen in the image here: https://imgur.com/hKjiXUm
