 * Ciao,
    on the main page of events, I disabled the sidebar and everything is OK.
   On the page of a single event, I set a sidebar ad hoc and everything is ok. If
   I try, however, to enable the sidebar, both in the main page which, for example,
   in the category page, I have a display problem. The sidebar is printed below
   the content of the page and not on the right as on the other pages.
 * And ‘as if the code of the pages on your software, sovrascrivessero the default
   structure of tamplate.
 * If you want to see, for example, [http://www.21dieci.it/eventi-culturali/categorie/](http://www.21dieci.it/eventi-culturali/categorie/)
 * The normal structure of my template are:
 * div container
    ->div xxxunits ->div sidebar
 * The structure on your page are:
 * div container
    ->div xxxunits div sidebar ——————————————– [http://wordpress.org/plugins/events-manager/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/events-manager/)

 * have you tried changing your single events page template under option Events
   > Settings > Pages > Event Pages > Display events as =choose your theme templates
   and/or try to re-copy your theme single.php and then rename it to single-event.

 * No, I’m sorry but I only this setting:
    PAGE ARTICLES TEMPLATE ARCHIVE TEMPLATE
   BLANK no header, no footer.
 * It is currently set on PAGE and all all work well. The single-page article, it
   is displayed correctly.
 * What does not work are the inside pages, as CATEGORIES, PLACES, EVENTS ETCC ..
 * Anyway, I apologize, but I understood not the speech of the single.php file.
   Where do I find that file? where I copy it and why?

 * Hiya,
 * single.php is a template file – see more on those at [http://codex.wordpress.org/Templates](http://codex.wordpress.org/Templates)
 * It sounds like your theme has the width of the different sections wrong for some
   reason. This may be a compatibility problem with custom post types (which EM
   uses).
 * In any case, you’ll need to seek the assistance of the original theme developer
   here really.
 * Thanks,
    Phil

 * Thanks for the reply, I proceeded to contact the supplier of your template. In
   my opinion, however, it seems a problem of EM, as with any other plugin I have
   never found this error.
 * I’ll try to understand.

 * That’s a very old thread, so that problem has been resolved now.
 * Are you seeing this problem on normal blog category pages?

 * Hello, yes it’s work fine in all page and category blog. The problem are only
   in the EM category list

 * Ok, then it sounds like you may have no – or the wrong – template selected under
   _Events > Settings > Pages > Event Categories > Categories page_.
 * That should be set to the same template you’re using for your other category
   pages.

 * Sorry but in this field i have only a set PAGE for category and to dropdown menu
   i have all my page and a option “any category page”.
 * I’ve created a page to have called CATEGORY, daughter of the events page containing
   the tag CONTENTS. If from that menu, do not pick any page, the problem of the
   sidebar disappears, but I no longer have the list of categories. The printed
   text CONTENTS.

 * Also, if I do not use the page created, when I open a category, it uses the template
   archive historical and, therefore, it loads a generic sidebar of the blog, while
   I use a sidebar for specific pages only events.
 * is therefore, necessary to use the categories page with your sidebar, format
   the content by setting EM and solve this problem.

 * Sorry, can you explain what you mean by, “and to dropdown menu i have all my
   page and a option “any category page””. Which dropdowns are these? There are
   no other dropdowns that relate to category templates.
 * What you need to do is create a category template that has the layout you want
   and then assign it to the Events Manager category pages via _Events > Settings
   > Pages > Event Categories > Categories page_.
 * This template doesn’t need to contain CONTENTS like the main Events page.
 * If the category pages on the rest of your site display how you want, you should
   be able set that as the _Categories page_.

 * Hello,
    excuse my ignorance. In the Event page> Settings> Pages> Events category,
   I find a drop down menu, where I select the page that I previously created, Categories.
 * On this page, there was the tag CONTENTS, which I have now removed. Now, the
   CSS of the page, are completely wrong and the problem of sideba continues. The
   content displayed is what I find in the Events tab> Settings> Formatting> Category
   Events, that I have not altered.
 * I am sure it is a bullshit, the problem, but it makes me angry.
 * On page i use a AVIA LAYOUT BUILDER from my template. It’s necessary to have
   a correct look-and-feel. But in this case, w/out the tag CONTENTS, the AVIA not
   work correctly.

 * Did you get a response from your theme developer yet? I really do think this
   is an issue with your theme.
 * Switch to the default theme temporarily to check it there and if it’s fine it
   shows the problem lies with your theme, not with EM. We could play with EM settings
   but ultimately, if the theme isn’t handling the output properly then the theme
   needs fixing.
 * Thanks

 * I’m assuming now the only page with a problem would be the tags and categories
   page, right? Just trying to make sure we’re talking about the same thing here.
 * If your theme is messing with the_content filter (as a page builder may do),
   it’s possible that it’s overriding our content because we do some hacky stuff
   to show category and tag pages in our formatted way.
 * What happens if you turn ‘Override with Formats’ off in Settings > Pages > Event
   Categories/Tags? My guess is it’ll work, although you lose our custom formatting
   options.

 * Hello Marcus, thank you for your kind response.
    I tried to disable the formatting,
   but the problem remains.
 * The author of my theme I was not yet responded and, anyway, I found that disabling
   the “COLOR SECTION” page from the internal builder, the problem does not appear.
   So, in essence, the CONTENT is not overwritten or moved.
 * Now, given that no plugin EM, everything works, it is possible to hypothesize
   that, in some way, EM, go to interfere with the DIV of the content and therefore
   is causing the error.
 * Solve this by changing my theme or EM, I do not know ….
