Sidebar on select pages only

Hi Everyone,

I’m completely new to WP and loving learning it all, but I’m stymied by this sidebar thing-y. I’d like it to be on my main page and about only; not on the page I’ve linked or any others that I’ll post work.

How do I disable the sidebar for some pages and enable for others? Right now I’m only working pages, not posts.
