    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    which plugin do I need to add the link, “create a web log”

    See create a network

    I don’t think it has to do with the plugins to see if the sidebar show up. I made this theme as child theme from twenty ten.

    Never mind. I got it to work. I just didn’t put in the correct sidebar code like

    <?php if (is_active_sidebar(‘primary-widget-area’)):?>
    <?php dynamic_sidebar(‘primary-widget-area’); ?> <?php endif; ?>
    <?php if (is_active_sidebar(‘secondary-widget-area’)):?>
    <?php dynamic_sidebar(‘secondary-widget-area’); ?> <?php endif; ?>

    now I’m looking up how i can add a plugin to create a web log…

    There’s no plugin to make a ‘web log’ (which, by the way, is a BLOG, not a ‘web log’).

    Read this:

    I finished reading the link provided and many other articles linking off from this article. However, I couldn’t find any info on how I can add users and create new blogs for them. And how I can add the link or registration form to my main static page?

    Add new users: Go to WP Admin -> Network

    Looks like this:

    See the links? Click ’em 🙂

    As for a ‘registration form’ it’s still

    If you want to customize it, you can try or

    Before users can add sites, you need to make it possible through your network settings page > Registration Settings

    Check the button next to: “Both sites and user accounts can be registered.”

    When that’s done, users can add sites from their own dashboard.
