Support » Fixing WordPress » sidebar nav different on “static” and category pages

  • the website is “recherche dot us dot com”

I temporarily drew borders around the content and sidebar divs to try to help troubleshoot.

My sidebar navigation is showing up with a big chunk of vertical space at the top of page navigation. However, on category posts or archive, the sidebar displays properly (no empty space on top).

I looked at the HTML briefly and didn’t see a difference in how the HTML displays between the two. What could be causing this discrepancy?

  • oh, it figures, I’d find it soon after posting here.
It has to do with the six <br /> tags the theme author
put in the page template after the content div
and before the sidebar div. doh!
