• Hi,

( theme is bp default latest version)

I have read about 40+ posts on this but cant find the answer in support and on google:

My side bar has moved after an import from blogspot. This only happens on the post page.

I checked a box that automatically fixes the code, after reading that advice in the forums but that hasn’t helped. ( I now for the life of me cant find that box either )

I read that sidebar moves if things are too large, but i dont think they are.

here is a link to the site:
    http://www.malorganise.com/front-page/

I am very new to all this and dont understand code at all….

Please can anyone help with this?

    Many Thanks

  • See a table to the right but no real sidebar.

    HI thanks for looking….

I should have the following widget displayed on the page:

    add to any
    meta
    calender
    meta
    search

    (they were displayed before import)

if you scroll down to the bottom of the last page titled tabbed BLOG,
they have moved to the left hand side and are only half visible…

really not sure what to do next….

what table do you see to the right? do you mean on the blog page?

    again , many thanks

You will have to look at the code for POST.PHP in the Theme directory. Somewhere in it or the Style.CSS or Sidebar.CSS must be the issue.

i’m sorry to ask you this but i ve no idea about code…

is post.php a page ( sorry thats probably the wrong word for them ) in the themes directory?

i found something that said post.php but it wasnt in themes… are there several of these post.phps?

also once ive found it how do i see the code – do i use the ftp app
    ( i use cyberduck )

i apologies for my inane questions…

To look at Edit (Be very careful if you do not understand code!)
    from Wp-Admin go to Appearance/Editor.

Post.PHP is a Template for the page displaying blog postings

The CSS files are where the settings for fonts, color, backgrounds, tables, etc. are for the website.
You will want to use Google (before you even look) to learn more as these go well beyond WordPress or being able to subscribe in a message forum.
    First look at http://www.w3schools.com/
The Learn HTML, Learn CSS & Learn PHP should be good. Then use Google to fill in the blanks….
Even if I found the exact error to change, until you understand a bit, it may be dangerous for you to make changes.
