Sidebar missing in pages for Twenty-eleven (3 posts)

I've just started building my website and realise that, while the sidebar is showing up on the home/blog page, it's not present on Pages.

I've searched the two blogposts for stray <div> code but can't find any. Same with the Pages html.

Twenty-eleven does have a sidebar on pages so I don't know where I've gone wrong.

I'd be grateful if someone could help. I'm using Safari.

    I've just started

take it slow and use the forum search - most 'problems' and false expectations with Twenty Eleven have been addressed already by this forum.

there is no sidebar in static pages in Twetny eleven - by design.
    same for single posts.

there is however a page template with sideber (Sidebar Template), which you can use under 'Page Attributes' - 'template' when you edit a page.

    alternatively, try the plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twenty-eleven-theme-extensions/

if you consider customisations which include editing templates, strongly consider to create a child theme first, to make the customisations with; http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

for pure css edits, consider using a custom css plugin; http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css

Thank you alchmyth. I discovered that in each page's edit function there's a Page Attributes box on the right with a drop-down menu which includeds the choice to have the sidebar. I'm now using it and there is a sidebar on every blog and static page at my site. This was a very simple solution that needs flagging up somehow.

Judging by the confusion in other threads on this topic, the designer could do more to make it easier (idiot-proof) for people like me. The initial description in the Theme page is not clear.
