    Hi,

On the gallery page and gallery ‘post’ pages (which use the Jetpack carousel) the sidebar and heading text are missing. There is an error message at the bottom of the main gallery page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function luminescence_lite_entry_meta() in /usr/home/tekutoia/public_html/wp-content/themes/luminescence-lite/content-image.php on line 30

We recently moved this site to a new host. There have also been some upgrades, and considering the error message, I am not sure if this is a theme or plugin issue.

    thank you

After contacting Styled Themes about this, I was told that they will include a fix for this in the next theme upgrade. That was a month ago and that’s far too long for a sidebar and heading to be missing, especially when it affects something as widely used as Jetpack. Anyone considering this theme be advised that you shouldn’t hold your breathe about it being kept current. This is sad because it is a nice theme and the original theme author really cared.

    Hi catwingz,

    Hi catwingz,

IOt seems there is problem with script/php code loading, which shows bottom of your page. would you mentions the version of theme that you used? its proper work with version 1.1.4.

    Thanks

I find this a bit confusing. The site is currently using a child theme with version 1.2.0 of the theme in the files. That is the current version of Luminescence Lite available for download from the repository. It seems like going back to an older version would only complicate things — plus I’m not sure where I would find it. Are we talking about the same theme?

    Hi catwingz,

We check with jetpack and theme working properly.
Could you please send the wp-login details to our email support@styledthemes.com, so that we find actual issue and provide solution.

    Thanks.

    Hi

It seems that there is the plugin conflict in your site.
Here is the step of checking plugin conflict:

To test for a plugin conflict:

    1. Deactivate ALL plugins
    2. Activate your theme(if already activate then leave as it is)
    3. Check to see if the issue occurs

If the issue does not occur, one (or more) of your plugins is causing a conflict with theme.

To determine which plugin(s) is causing the conflict, follow these steps:

    1. Activate each plugin one by one
    2. Check to see if the issue occurs after each plugin is activated

    Thanks

    Hi,
I believe I had done this before, but this time on a clone development site I deactivated all of the plugins and found that the logo and sidebar are still missing from the blog/gallery page. This is NOT a plugin conflict.

This can be viewed at this url. The blog/gallery page is here.

Your user/password is still in place. I would really appreciate it if you would fix this.

    Thank you

Since they both have sidebars I also tried switching themes to both Twenty Fourteen and Twenty Fifteen. In both cases the sidebar and navigation reappear on the blog page. Again, this is definitely a problem with the Luminescence Lite theme which developed sometime during the Spring of this year. I’m not sure which core update triggered it.
Please fix it! She really doesn’t want to switch themes.
    Thanks

I am seeing very similar problems when using NextGen Gallery, and have tested with several other galleries including Envira. Have also tested with no plugins active.

In addition, whilst the Theme Customizer *appears* to save settings the reality is that it does not action what it saves: thus if I select and save a site logo [with or without a heading] the live site does not actually *show* a logo.

Both WP and Luminescence are on latest versions.

I am going to mark this issue as resolved because we paid a developer to fix it. He also addressed the error message showing up at the bottom of the page. Apparently there are some things missing from the code. In spite of reassurances to the contrary, it appears the theme authors are abandoning this theme. Too bad.

meuschal, I suggest you start your own thread, but don’t hold your breath waiting for a solution here.
