I have been running my blog (www.unpiano.com/music) for about a year now and everything was fine. Suddenly all the links in my sidebar area appear in italics. The only thing that happened around the time of the change was that my web host performed some database maintenance. I already contacted them and they said any work they did would not have affected this issue. To make their case even stronger, I have another similar blog (www.unpiano.com/photo) that didn’t suffer any change.

I found some old threads about this and took their advice, checking for unclosed tags and such. I even took the code from my other working blog and pasted it in the problem one but with no luck.

I’m stumped. Maybe a database corruption or something? Any suggestions.

    thanks..

  • If you look in the source code on the main page, you will see that there’s an opening italics tag (<em>) right before… If you need some help with subscribing to a podcast using Itunes, you can click here for a brief tutorial… but no closing tag. Everything beyond that point including the sidebar is in italics. Remove that opening tag from the post and you’re fixed 🙂

Wow, that was too easy. I didn’t know post tags could bleed into the sidebar. Thanks so much.

Yup they can. Your welcome so much 🙂
