  • Hey guys, so I have the retromania theme and when looking at my sidebar, for some reason the bottom half was deleted and now the footer jumped up to the sidebar. Take a look at it at http://www.badmorningclass.com I’ve been looking everywhere for how to fix the problem and get the bottom half of the html coding but have had no luck. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

  • Have you messed around with the theme? I’d delete the theme, download a new copy, and install it again. I looked through the page source code with the Firefox browser and the Firebug extension.

    You should have:

    <div class="wrap">
    	<div class="header">...</div>
    	<div class="content">
    		<div class="content_left">...</div>
    		<div class="footer">...</div>
    	</div>
    </div>

    but you have:

    <div class="wrap">
    	<div class="header">...</div>
    	<div class="content">
    		<div class="content_left">
    			<div class="content_right">
    				<div class="mainbar">...</div>
    				<div class="sidebar">
    					<ul>
    						...
    						<div class="footer">...</div>
    					</ul>
    				</div>
    			</div>
    		<div>
    	</div>
    </div>

    The best plan of attack is to restart and ask for help. WordPress comes with hooks and filters, plugins and (child-)themes, and widgets. I bet we can make the changes you want to your website without having to edit any code in your theme.
