Okay, I've searched and searched for the past 2 days almost non-stop to find instructions to change the text headings for the items in my sidebars to image titles. I think I'm comfortable with how to do the coding involved to replace the text. My problem is trying to find WHERE those headings are in the code. I have been using the 'theme editor' in admin under 'presentation'. I've searched and searched for the text for each item in each of the different parts but can't find it anywhere.
For example, in which php file would I find where it's getting the word 'categories' to print it above my categories, or 'archives' for the title above the archives. I thought I'd found these things in the theme editor but when I just simply changed the word to something else, to test if I'd found the right area in the code, it didn't appear to do anything different to the blog itself.
I'm not sure if certain themes tuck this code different places than others so here's a little info and links to hopefully help:
Template I'm trying to modify: Oh So Very by Jessica Wiseman
The link to my wordpress blog: http://blog.auntiepea.com
Link to my previous typepad blog showing an idea of what I'm trying to achieve for the titles in my sidebar: http://auntiepea.typepad.com
Not the best example because my old sidebar titles were just text images using a non-web font. Ideally I'd like to be able to put any sort of images as titles. Tabs with titles printed on them, titles with icons next to them...
Please help me. I'd LOVE to be able to start converting the world to wordpress but I need to get this figured out first. :)
