# Sidebar Html help

 * I’m trying to make my basic wordpress site have a sidebar similar to the one 
   on this page: [http://www.losestomachfat.net](http://www.losestomachfat.net)
 * I can’t figure out how to add html into the sidebar, and would like some help
   figuring out what I need to do.

 * If you’re using a standard template you can use the widgetised sidebar. Configure
   your sidebar from the dashboard: Appearance – Widgets. Then drag and drop the
   HTML option on to your sidebar and insert the code.
 * If you’re using your own template and it’s not widgetised then add the code in
   to sidebar.php.

 * I had trouble trying to figure out how to put HTML into the dynamic sidebar,

 * Ben, I’m confused by what you mean by “drag and drop the HTML option on to your
   sidebar and insert the code”. I can’t find this option anywhere on my 2.7.1 install.
