• Hi There,

    I am very new to wordpress and webdesign. I know nothing about code.

    I was making a website with sidebar menu’s they were just listing like you would expect.

    Number 1
    Number 2
    Number 3

    Now when I add a custom menu widget as a side bar menu its listing like

    Number 1 Number 2 Number 3.

    I can’t see what I am doing different.

    The website is http://www.cumbriaadvicenetwork.org.uk/wp

    Can anyone help?

  • @sarahwebsite Your website is under maintenance when I checked and no idea what theme you are using. I can only guess that you just need to tweak the stylesheet to correct the issue.

    Sorry. Its online now @mercime if you fancy another go!
    Thanks

    @sarahwebsite I see the sidebar and nothing there seems off to me. The only list I see “Partners of Can” looks good and the horizontal menu looks good. Perhaps you need to clear cache?

    @mercime How about the areas of advice menu does it not say

    consumer disability

    i want it to list down

    consumer
    disability

    thanks

    @sarahwebsite so that “Areas of Advice” widget on the sidebar is a menu? You can either hardcode the list of links or better yet, you can create a custom menu in Appearance > Menus, after which, you can add it to sidebar in Appearance > Widgets.

    caused by this style in your theme:

    .menu li
    {
      display: inline-block;
      position: relative;
    }

    add a new style via a ‘custom CSS’ plugin or child theme, to get the menu items below each other;
    example:

    #sidebar-primary .menu li { display: block; }

    for theme specific help, please post in https://wordpress.org/support/theme/stargazer
