# Sidebar displaced

 * I edited a couple of posts and added banner code. Now the body text extends across
   the page, and the sidebar content doesn’t show until below those posts. I suspect
   I must have deleted some kind of formatting code while editing. I have looked
   at other posts in html to see if I could identify something that would be telling
   the text to break at the right width, but haven’t had success in seeing what 
   that is.
 * I would appreciate any help.

 * try to run the validator [http://validator.w3.org/](http://validator.w3.org/)
   with your page; it might give you some clues as to where things are gone wrong.
 * if you post a link to your site, someone might have a look and might be able 
   to make a suggestion.

 * Thanks for responding. I did run the validator as suggested, it found a list 
   of errors. unfortunately, I don’t really understand what it’s telling me, or 
   what to do about it.

 * The post that seems to have problems is about ten down and called Planning an
   outdoor wedding.
 * There were a couple more before with the same problem, but they seem to be ok
   now, I had put in what looked like it might be a close paragraph instruction 
   at the end, copied from another post, those seem to work now, but this one doesn’t.
   when I go straight to the post page it is ok, but when I go to the site url, 
   that post content goes across the page and it doesn’t show the sidebar content
   until after that one post.

   I am not an IT specialist so I don’t know how to rectify a code error. When I
   preview other themes I have the same problem.
