Sidebar appearing only at bottom of blog
-
I have looked up so many support threads but can’t seem to find the solution. I am a brand new WP user and not AT ALL familiar with code. No matter what theme I choose and what options I choose, I can’t seem to get the sidebar to show up on the side instead of at the bottom. I am using Brand New Day theme. http://www.momsmagicalmiles.com/ I appreciate ANY help given!

Usually I have seen that happened when you have an unclosed or open <div>
Here is the result of your site’s validation: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.momsmagicalmiles.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.3+http%3A%2F%2Fvalidator.w3.org%2Fservices
It indicates 189 Errors, 381 warning(s). I did not go through them.
I just wanted to update that the sidebar is showing on individual posts, but not from the main homepage, if that helps in finding a solution. In my research, I’m seeing a lot about <div> tags, but I have no idea what they are or how to manipulate. An answer for “dummies” would be appreciated!
WOW. Thanks for the response; I wrote my follow up before your response refreshed.

that might indicate thtat the error is in the content of the posts or pages or within some of the widgets, instead of in the templates.
possibly in the content of this post http://www.momsmagicalmiles.com/?p=8
– edit that post using the ‘text’ setting of the editor and check for erroneous closed divs;btw:
have you used ‘copy/paste’ to post the post?Alchymyth – no, that doesn’t seem to fix it. All looked well with my leading post. This is amazingly frustrating for someone who is not too familiar with HTML. I am trying WP templates straight from the Dashboard with no code changes; I wouldn’t think this would be such a problem.
