Sidebar and Product Issues

Using the Flare theme (http://themeforest.net/item/flare-responsive-business-portfolio-wp-theme/1969512).

I am unable to utilize the various woocommerce widgets because the sidebar will not display. It shows for the cart or checkout pages (if I decide to show it), but the Shop or Product pages have no sidebar. Not being able to show a product search, cart, categories, etc. would be…well…sucky.

Also I seem to have a strange bug where the most recent product is never displayed. The category may show a number 3 to indicate 3 products in the category, but upon clicking the category — there’s only 2. I’d have to enter a 4th product to get the 3rd product to show up (but then, of course, the 4th product is missing).

Are these known issues with hopefully easy solutions?
