  • I think the answer to this is no, but is there a way to include extra content at the end of sidebar.php via a hook in a plugin instead of having to edit sidebar.php?

The wp_meta hook doesn’t do what I want as it just adds content in the Meta ul section (in my theme anyway?) and I’d like my plugin to create a new ul below the Meta one.

  • no. the theme system hasn’t been ‘standardized’ to that level of plug-and-play of content. there are a few specific themes that have tried to implement content blocks that you can control from admin pages, but generally easier to just edit the php files. 😉

i am not sure if you are trying to add more coloumn in the sidebar or u r planning for something else. If you want to add more coloumn, you can try searching “three column wordpress” in google or “four column wordpress”.
