 * Where do I change the width for the sidebar at left in the style.css? I’ve tried
   allmost all widths but don’t find it.

 * Are you using a [child theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) or a [custom CSS plugin](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css)?

 * Try using Firefox with the [Firebug add-on](http://getfirebug.com/) for this
   kind of CSS troubleshooting. Or use whatever developer tool is available in your
   web browser.

 * OK, but aren’t there any code in Style.css that I can copy and change the width
   for the sidebar? I found the code part for the main page and it worked.

 * The element you are looking for is the #secondary id – there are a number of
   place in [@media](https://wordpress.org/support/users/media/) where you’ll need
   to change the width.
 * You’ll also need to adjust the width of the other containers in order to accommodate
   the new sidebar width.
 * Hope that helps point you in the right direction.

 * OK, thanks.. I’ve found it and I just changed the background color so it became
   white like rest of the page so it doesn’t appear so heavly.
