Sidebar

I am pretty rusty with WordPress, but the last time I updated a page, putting things on a sidebar was pretty standard. I just want to make a basic list of links to various reselling spots. I have tried it so many different ways. It just keeps coming out like the below picture or it gives me a box telling me that something is wrong and it doesn’t like the code. I’ve tried it with list. I’ve tried it with code. It doesn’t like anything.

There used to just be a widget where you could links in, but I can’t find it.
