• I am wondering if there is a plugin that adds “side-note” functionality. Basically it goes a long the lines of a short snippet of news or code that you may not want to create for a full post, but rather as a “side-note” that is no more than a couple sentences long; it even has the possibility of a “side-note” rss feed. (Which is not required, I just want a side-note functionality instead of manually changing html in a small area of the site)

(the concept is actually a lot like the wordpress dashboard login thing for “wordpress news”, except this is something you post on your side as a widget for e.g)

I happen to be looking for exactly the same thing. Sometimes there is a shout out I want to make that isn’t really worth a blog post. It would be ideal to have it listed in an own category, but just excluded from the main view.
There has to be something like this out there.
IF I find something, I’ll post it here. Promised.
If you find something, contact me via my blog: philsblogging.com
    Thank you.

BTW: I don’t really think that Twitter is the best substitude for this. However, if I don’t find anything useful, I’ll just add a twitter function. I wish you could also edit it in an ajaxy way like the Facebook status updates. Darn it. I WISH I could code this… 🙂
