If you use the shortcode from this plugin (separate from The Events Calendar), you could create a new page then add [ecs-list-events] to it. Depending on your theme you should be able to pick something like “no sidebar” for the Page Template.
With just The Events Calendar though (which is not my plugin) I did a little search around and it looks like the default template should not have a sidebar and there’s an option to change it:

Sorry, when I hit the ‘Support’ link for the plugin, it brought me here. I tried the shortcode that you mention before posting here, and all it does is show the actual shortcode “[ecs-list-events]” on the page.
Do you have the “The Events Calendar Shortcode” plugin installed and activated which is needed for [ecs-list-events] to work? This is in addition to The Events Calendar.
No, I wasn’t aware of it. I am fairly new at WP but had no idea that the The Events Calendar, a “plugin” would require a plugin to function? However I will try to locate it. Thanks.
No problem! Yes you’ll need to add “The Events Calendar” plugin which lets you add events. Then you can add “The Events Calendar Shortcode” to be able to use that shortcode.
Yep, tried that and it still didn’t work. All it did was show the title of the calendar on the page. Please disregard any further support as I am currently searching for an alternate calendar option. Thanks for the help.
