• I have been trying to get various cool bits added to the side of my blog. Namely the Sidebar widgets plugin and also a Nike+ and About me plugin.

I have installed them as directed.

In the case of the Sidebar widgets i fail to get the predicted control panel in presentation.
With the others i have no idea how to make them work. I assume in need a working Sidebar widget first. Catch 22.

A clue may be in the server local path for the Nike+ plugin. The default is kinda weird and if i look it up in the browser it states a fatal error. Dont really know what to do about that, but it doesnt look goo d 🙂 Any help?

ps. I’m using WP 2.1.2. With Kubrick default and Firefox on a Mac if that makes any difference.

If you don’t get the control panel for widgets, then your theme is not Widget-Ready. Either look for a widgetized version of your theme, or modify your theme to support widgets yourself. Info on doing that can be found here:

    Thanks so much.
    Have got the theme working.

However, running into another issue where most of the plugins do not register on this Sidebar Widgets tab in Presentation. So i cannot get them added.

Nike+ widget works as does an about me widget. However the google search and delicious, that came with the Widget download do not. As does not a flickr plugin.

Can you shed any light on this?
    Many thanks for the help.

I have a similar problem, except every theme i have uploaded is widget ready, however my sidebar is not at the side anymore, nor is there any menu in presentation

in fact I had not installed the widget plugin correctly, this still doesnt account for my sidebar being at the bottom of the page, I am using 2.1.3
