    Hi there πŸ™‚ !

I need to set a maximum load of images on page load, and I also want to randomize their order with the Media Grid widget.

But to my surprise, I can’t combine the “Load More” button with the “Shuffle Images on Page Load” setting. If I try to do this, my columns layout breaks and goes from three to just one. I can only choose one of this options or “Load More” or “Shuffle Images on Page Load” if I want to maintain the columns layout of the Media Grid, but not both.

Am I misunderstanding the use of the Media Grid widget options or “Houston, I’ve a problem”?

    Kind regards.

  • Hi @albridi,

    Thanks for contacting Leap13 support!

Could you please try to refresh PA Assets and let me know if it did the trick?

Here’s a screenshot for more clarification.

    Hi @leap13support, thanks for supporting πŸ™‚ .

Unfortunately it didn’t work, the issue persists πŸ™ .

If I activate both options, the columns layout breaks.

    Kind regards.

    Hi @albridi,

    Hope you’re having a great day πŸ™‚

Well, I would be glad to check things further from your end, so could you please provide a link where I can see the issue on my end?

Also, may I ask did your try to check your page with all plugins deactivated except Elementor and Premium Add-ons? This would greatly help to see if the issue is coming from a conflict with one of the installed plugins.

Hi again @leap13support, thanks for supporting πŸ™‚ !

I can confirm that it is not a plugin conflict related issue. I disabled all except Elementor and Premium Addons. I’ve tested it on three sites. One of them online but in production, not to be public for now (Linux/Nginx). The other two sites offline (localhost W10/IIS)… the issue persisted in all tests.

If you want to replicated the issue, it should be very easy to achieve by doing the following:

    1) Add several videos or images.
    2) Layout: Masonry / “Load More Button” active.
    3) Images/Videos: “Shuffle Images on Page Load” active.
    4) Display Options: Style 1 or 2 active.

By the way, I’m not sure if it’s relevant or not, but I have all updated to the last available version (Premium Addons, Elementor, WordPress…).

Hope you can help me with this.

    Kind regards.

    Hi @albridi,

    Hope you’re having a great day πŸ™‚

I was able to reproduce the issue from my end. So, I’ve addressed that to the dev team and it’s already fixed in the development version and will be included in the next release of the plugin.

    Hi @leap13support, thanks for helping πŸ™‚ !

Great! I’ll keep an eye on this update.

By the way, it’s a normal behavior for the “Load More Button” to shuffle the images the first time you click it, instead of just loading more images after the ones that are already loaded? This leads to a problem: the user could miss to see some of the images, due to this images rearrangement.

Would it be possible to prevent the shuffling of the images only the first time the button is clicked? After that first click, it doesn’t really matter how the images are ordered.

    Kind regards.

    Hi there @leap13support πŸ™‚ !

Is there any news on this subject? I’ve been testing Media Grid today, but it’s still showing this weird behavior.

    Kind regards.

    Hi @albridi

Hope you’re doing well today πŸ™‚

Actually, enabling “Shuffle Image on Page Load” and “Load More” button options together will cause a conflict. So, we removed the ability to enable both options together.

Please upload this version on your website, then disable “Shuffle Images on Page Load” option, then update again to the latest version.

    Cheers!

Hi there @leap13, thanks for supporting πŸ™‚ !

Sorry to read that. Do you plan to fix this in the near future? These two great features of your plugin is just what I was looking for my site’s photo album.

    Kind regards.
