Showing Related Posts for some categories, not others

Hi there,

Thanks for a great plugin.

I am working on a site with a very large number of articles and categories. Many articles have multiple categories assigned to them.

I want to exclude one general category, which many posts are assigned to, from showing up in the related posts, while allowing these posts to still be suggested according to the other categories they belongs to.

The only thing is that when I exclude this one category, any posts assigned to this category are never displayed in the related posts, even if they belong to many different categories. Is it possible to just exclude one category, but allow a post to be displayed according to its other categories?
