    Hi

Should images show on the blog page when the post has been set to a format of “image” as all I have is just an icon.

The image shows if I set the format to Aside,Link,Quote,Status,Video,Audio,Chat. but not as Standard or Image.

    Thanks In advance

  • This should govern what’s shown. If it doesn’t come back and let us know.

    Thanks for the response.

The images are now showing up left and right of the blog post but they have no circle hover ( they are square ) and the image icon still remains under the post title within the .entry-content area.

I’m working locally at the moment off a child theme so I have no link to show!

But even when I switch back to the main theme it’s still the same.

    Not sure why ?

Ah, I think I understand what you are saying now.

Could it be related to this similar question?: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/circle-fade-on-blog-posts-doesnt-work-on-some-but-works-on-others?replies=5

Thanks for your help, I wished problem was just related to a few posts but I’m having no luck with any of the post images.

Just found out that when I shrink the page to mobile view the circle images on the post show up, it seems to be once the page is larger than 979px then I am left with square images.

I reinstalled Customizr just to see if that may help, but no luck.

Could you link to your site?

I’m working locally at the moment.

I’ll set up an online test site to look at .

    Thanks

OK, you are suffering from a similar problem to deanna23b here, but I only know this for sure now that I’ve solved that problem 🙂

In her case, the images weren’t zooming because they were too small. In your case, the images are wide enough, but somehow they’ve been set with style="width: 250px; height: 250px;, which is not wide enough and seems to kick off the <270 rule to stop zooming.

I’m guessing that if you edit your images in your page (in the text editor, not the visual editor), you’ll find that they are set in there at 250×250. Change this to 300×300, and it might all work.

p.s. re the image post-type “look”: this is “as designed”, as you can see here.

    Thanks loads for your help..

    I wasn’t aware of the <270 rule! but I am now. 😉

Thing was, the images I checked were 300 x 300 but did not work, not sure why. I tried them at 512 x 512 and at 300 x 300.

Then I uploaded the same images again and they worked at both sizes !

Wonders of the web I suppose. =)

    What a relief ..!

    Thanks again.
