My dashboard for my wp site is showing different SSO image for the posts than it previously did. It has always shown the featured image and now it is showing some past image I used on that page back in December.

    Will this impact anything?

The SSO > Advanced Settings > Integration > Image Dimension Checks option value is now enabled by default. It sounds like your featured image is probably too small and WPSSO choose the first image that was large enough (see https://wpsso.com/docs/plugins/wpsso/faqs/how-does-wpsso-find-detect-select-images/ for more info). When you edit that post/page, check the SSO notification messages in the top toolbar – it sounds like you may have a warning/error about your featured image being too small.

Thank you! You were right. I am in the process of updating the featured image to a larger size.

Something weird is happening. Within the media, there are multiple images for each post that are duplicating and the names for the images are being changed.

Any ideas what is causing this?

The original uploaded image file name should not change. If that is the case, then that is a problem you should investigate.

WordPress manages the creation of thumbnail files for defined image sizes. Users do not manage the creation of these images or their file names.

Some plugins exist to rename uploaded file, otherwise this is not a feature that exists in WordPress. Do you have an example of a file that WordPress has renamed?

If I deactivate your plugin – The correct images appear with the correct titles in my media dashboard.

Another issue that has happened since the last update is

The title that is showing for this post is “Breakfast”. The Yoast Title is suppose be “Top 10 Best Breakfast in Northwest Arkansas”

The meta is supposed to be: “Looking for a Top 10 Breakfast in Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville, Rogers, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Springdale and Siloam Springs)?” Instead it shows “Top 10 Best Breakfast in Northwest Arkansas – Bentonville, Springdale, Eureka Springs, ; The Buttered Biscuit $$ 1403 SE Moberly Ln, (479) 319-4822 ; Louise at …

The schema is set for a blog post.

    Please advise, Thank you

Using Google’s Schema validator, the description appears correct:

    https://validator.schema.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fnwatravelguide.com%2Ftop-10-best-breakfast-northwest-arkansas%2F

The BlogPosting name appears to be incorrect though. Have you checked the Document SSO metabox when editing that post? The default title value should come from Yoast SEO, but can be overwritten with a custom value.

Aside from checking the Document SSO metabox, this plugin is also a handy and quick way to check your post metadata:

    Thank you for your help.

How do I turn off the notifications? Since the update a few hours ago, it is quite annoying when I am working on my site. It keeps flashing up there.

also, is there any way to change this default? The SSO > Advanced Settings > Integration > Image Dimension Checks option value is now enabled by default.

There shouldn’t be any notifications, but if there are, then there’s probably something that needs to be improved. If the notification message is about an image being too small, the first such notification message should include several possible ways to fix the issue. An error message is automatically displayed for 3 seconds since an error is a serious issue that needs to be addressed – for example, Google may ignore your markup if an image is missing.
