Showing Audio Player With Each Post

I’d like to show an audio player below the title of each post. I can encode either the MP3 URL or a full shortcode in a custom field for each post. How can I make this work? I tried to embed the [audio src="FILEPATH"] short code this way, and the plugin is displaying that as text.
