Showing advanced custom fields in the results

    Hello,

    I use this plug-ing and it is great but for some reason when I type in some search queries it show ACF in the results:

    Header title
    header-title

    and this is the link to the post:
    domainname.com/?post_type=acf-field-group&p=362

    Anyone had this before and how can I fix this? I want Ajax Search Lite to search in the Advanced custom fields to show pages, posts and custom post type results but not this kind of results.

    Is there a fix for this?

    Hope somebody can help me with this.

    Hi Joep,

    Go to the General Options -> Sources panel, and make sure you havent choosen any “ACF” custom post type to search for. Usually they are called “acf_whatever” or something like that.

    Thank you for the response. That is not the problem, I want to search in ACF fields and groups. I got my options like this:

    But is if I remove “acf-field-group” it doesnt search the text in ACF anymore and so my results are not as they should be.

    When I add “acf-field-group” I got better results but for some strange reason he also show this kind of garbage:

    Any other solutions for this problem?

    Hi,

    Adding acf field group post type will not search acf fields attached to post types, buy return the acf field group post type as result. That is a post type for storage, that is why you get the strange results.

    If you scroll down on the same settings page, there is an option to choose custom fields for search, that is the option you are looking for.
