Show title showing up in episode titles

    Hey everyone,

    so currently my episode titles for my podcast show are also showing my show title. How do I get rid of the show title in my episode titles? Is there a way? I have heard that apple is removing podcast shows and one of the reasons might be that the episode titles show the actual podcast show title.

    Appreciate the help.

    Hello @maxlwie,

    This was an SEO setting in previous versions of PowerPress and was since removed. Please update PowerPress to the latest version 7.4 to fix.

    Hello @maxlwie,

    PowerPress updates do not require you to go back and edit settings. Between 7.3 and 7.4 there are only 2 new features, one for the skip to position feature (documentation how to use) under the “Website” tab, and a new Emoji option under the “Feeds” tab. IF you are not interested in either of these new features, just update PowerPress and don’t worry about the settings.

    Thanks for the help. So do I have to change any setting for the podcast episode titles to stop showing the show title or will the update take care of that automatically?

    Hello Max,

    No settings need to be changed. Simply update PowerPress to 7.4.

    We keep things simple. We use our plugin for our own podcasts, this is how we expect things to work for us, for you, and for anyone using our plugin. We (Blubrry) maintain the plugin to stay current with trends. All you have to do is keep the plugin up to date to reap the benefits.
