I have category structure like this:
– Parent1 (no products)
–Parent2 (no products)
—Child (with products)
I would like di view only categories (even empty ones) in shop home and parent category pages and view products only in child category.
Already selected in “Settings – Catalog – Shop Page Display (& Default Category Display)” “show subcategories” for both.
Under Categories, display type is “default” for all.
But results are not as expected:
– In main shop page all products are listed (no subcategories)
– In category pages without products insides nothing is shown
– In category pages with products, products are displaying correctly
Checked also with default WP templates, so it’s not a template issue.
If I use this shortcode [product_categories parent=”0″ hide_empty=”0″] in a page, result is correct, but clicking in category images obviously get the (wrong) category page display again.
Using WP 3.5.1 and WC 2.0.10
Thank you for your help!
